Compare and contrast. Would you rather have raw information or sneaky editorializing?
George Clooney thinks we were better off with a common truth dictated by “three networks and basically the same information“. I have to say I prefer it “fractioned into little pieces”.
So do I, that’s why one of the most important things we have to focus on in America is to discourage the consolidation of the media.
There is very little “raw information”. It is all editorialized from one degree to another. For those who prefer POP media (thats pay-one-price), they get what they pay for. If you care about the information you are digesting and regurgitating, “fractioned into little pieces” is the only way to truly enjoy the meal. Then again, the “ala carte” method can leave you with the same meal nite in and nite out.
When all is said and done, ultimately you are the editor.
