Battleground: WWII Anti-“Racist” Propaganda

Battleground (1949), IMDb:

A squad of the 101st Airborne Division copes with being trapped in the besieged city of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.

The moral of the story – a justification for the war in Europe – is delivered by a preacher. It is a brief scene whose tone and tenor stands conspicuously apart from the rest. In fact the bulk of the film, the action and interpersonal drama, can be seen as a mere delivery mechanism for this poisonous payload:

Was this trip necessary? Well, let’s look at the facts.

Nobody wanted this war but the nazis. A great many people tried to deal with them and alot of em are dead. Millions have died for no other reason except that the nazis wanted em dead. So in the final showdown there was nothing left to do except fight.

There’s a great lesson in this, and those of us who have learned it the hard way aren’t gonna forget it. We must never again let any force dedicated to a super race, or super idea, or super anything become strong enough to impose itself upon a free world. We must be smart enough and tough enough in the beginning, to put out the fire before it starts spreading.

So my answer to the sixty-four dollar question is: yes, this trip was necessary. As the years go by alot of people are gonna forget, but you won’t. And don’t ever let anybody tell you you were a sucker to fight in the war against fascism.

“Let’s look at the facts.” The authoritative voice in The Brotherhood of Man (discussed here) used the same lie to introduce his anti-“racist” fraud.

The fraud here is, “Let’s you and him fight. And don’t ever let anybody tell you you were a sucker, sucker.”

The fact is that the White race – the people of European descent in every country on this planet – lost that war. The jews won.

The film was written by Robert Pirosh:

His most notable success was garnering the Academy Award for his screenplay of Battleground (1949), a motion picture based on the Second World War Battle of the Bulge in which he had himself participated as a Master Sergeant with the 35th Division.

His name is in the list of Jewish Recipients of the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

  1. I watched that not long ago. I noticed that speech, too. The Jewish CONscience in action!

And remember “Band of Brothers”, where there is an episode called “Why We Fight”? One guess what that one is about.

  2. From Resisting Defamation (Caricatures tab):

Examples of films that portray hate caricatures

Two of the most prominent hate caricature films were produced during the end of World War II, and marketed in 1947. A bitterly ironic aspect of both films is that urban-coastal film critics somehow fail to “notice” the hateful nature of the films.

One was “Gentleman’s Agreement” which had the sole purpose of smearing the diverse white Euro-American taxpayers, voters, workers, and leaders who maintained steadfastness in fighting World War II. It was a vicious thank-you note to all the diverse white Americans for their sacrifices in World War II, and it didn’t take long to deliver.

The second was “Crossfire” which had the sole purpose of smearing diverse white American soldiers on their return to the USA after World War II. By portraying returning diverse Euro-American soldiers as evil creatures, it became a horrifying and hateful thank-you note to all returning white American veterans.

[The same technique of characterizing returning diverse white Euro-Am soldiers from undeclared wars in Asia as wannabe terrorists blossomed again in America throughout 2008 and 2009. The script appeared to be, “You go, fight for them, and die. If you come back alive, however damaged, we will seriously defame you as a potential terrorist.”]

Both films are classic agitprop examples of anti-white American deceptive, divisive, and disparaging hate caricatures. That they were produced during the waning years of World War II is powerfully informative if readers have the insight to understand that the slogan (“Save the American Way of Life”) which was advertised so strenuously during the war was just a Big Lie.

    Emerging Awareness

The diverse white American peoples are slowly emerging since 2010 from a 50-year-old stupor which applauded depictions on TV and the silver screen that slyly portrayed them as the vilest people on the planet.

Someday, let us hope sooner than later, Hollywood will be recognized as the massive anti-white crucible that it has been since WW II upholding the anti-white narrative.

In the interest of helping awareness emerge, it is necessary to recognize that “diverse white Euro-Am” does not include jews. Jews are the ones driving the anti-White narrative, of which “Hollywood” is only one facet.

  3. True. That scene stands out like a Lox and bagel at a Knights of Columbus Cookout. If you watch Hollywood movies, 1945-1960, you’ll be surprised at how positive the Germans are portrayed and how little the Jews are mentioned. It was too early for Americans to forget that the “japs” were the real enemy.

No one objected at the time. Reason: No one wants to think they were a sucker for fighting in dying a war. Even the Vietnam vets wants to hear they fought in a “good war” and weren’t suckers.

  4. There was something similar in “Knute Rockne, All-American” (1940). ner he end of the movie, Rockne appeared before Congress and preached about the virtue of “tolerance”, apropos of nothing.

  5. To show different things were in the 40s. In crossfire, the villain is an murderous Jew hater, but the producers were obviously afraid the Goyim wouldn’t care that much so..

Robert Young makes this hysterical speech against prejudice and bigotry ending with his voice breaking in anger – his Grandfather was lynched for being..AN IRISHMAN!!!

LOL, I must have missed all those Irish Catholics getting lynched in 1880s America. Must not have been in NYC or Boston.

  6. Navy Lieutenant Roland B. Gittlesohn, a Jewish chaplain delivered the eulogy for the Fifth Division: “Here lie officers and men, Negroes and whites, rich men and poor – together. Here are Protestants, Catholics, and Jews – together. Here no man prefers another because of his faith or despises him because of his color. Here there are no quotas of how many from each group are admitted or allowed. Among these men there is no discrimination. No prejudices. No hatred. Theirs is the highest and purest democracy.” Iwo Jima: Legacy Of Valor (pg. 313) – Bill D. Ross.

The democracy of the white dead, perfect Jewish democracy.

  7. I can’t believe the chutzpah of this guy. The jews were the carpetbaggers in the American South after the civil war.

  8. I liked that quote from Resisting Defamation, talking about Gentleman’s Agreement and Crossfire.
I remember when I watched the special features on the Crossfire dvd, one of the filmmakers being interview explicitly said that the film was designed to suck people in with a typical film noir story and then spring the message on them.

The importance of Hollywood in corrupting America can’t be overestimated, and when you watch classic films, you notice a definite shift in ideology after WW2. Not only with films positively portraying Jews, but also blacks. By 1950 they made “No Way Out” with Sidney Poitier playing the saintly black doctor dealing with evil, racist criminal Richard Widmark.
